Open data: longevity events

Every upcoming event in the directory, 69 right now, is free to download as JSON or CSV and reuse under CC BY 4.0, as long as you credit Longevity Meetups with a link.

Last updated

Downloads

Both files are UTF-8 and can be fetched from any origin, so a browser app can read them directly. The JSON adds the license, the update time and these field descriptions around the events array. Each topic also has its own calendar feed, linked from its page, such as Conferences.

How to credit

The data is licensed CC BY 4.0. Wherever you publish it, add a visible credit that links to longevitymeetups.com, for example:

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this data in my own site, app or research?

Yes. The dataset is licensed CC BY 4.0: you may copy, adapt and publish it, commercially or not, as long as you credit Longevity Meetups with a link to https://longevitymeetups.com.

How often is the data updated?

The files are rebuilt from the directory within an hour of each indexing run. Each event's last_verified field says when it was last confirmed at its source, and events withdrawn there are removed once a run more than 4 days later no longer finds them.

Why are event descriptions and images not included?

Organizers write their own descriptions and own their images, so they are not ours to license. Each record links to the event page and to the organizer’s registration page, where both can be read.

Are past events included?

No. The files hold upcoming and ongoing events only. Past events keep their pages on this site and are listed in the yearly archive.

An event is missing. How do I add it?

Use the “Submit event” button at the top of any page. Submissions are reviewed before they are published, and approved events appear in the files after the next rebuild.
